Top 7 Beauty Tips for Teens

In order to look beautiful and stunning, most of the teen girls usually try to be older than they are. In this process, they end up using too many chemical based products which can be harmful for their delicate skin in the long term. This is also the age in which most teens fight with acne problems. Being a teenager is an experimental stage in life, but what is most important is making the right choices when it comes to beauty. In this post, we will take a look at the top 7 beauty tips that every teen girl should know.

Watch the foundation

Many teens use foundation these days, even when they go to school. Using too much foundation can make you a victim of “cake face”. Foundation should not be used to cover the whole face, but it must be used very carefully to cover up uneven spots on the chin, cheeks or around the nose. Teenagers have naturally dewy skin and using heavy foundation doesn’t make them look gorgeous. It is always better to use a tinted moisturizer because it helps even skin tone and also keeps the skin moisturized.

Always pat concealer and not rub it onto skin

If you have uneven spots and use concealer, patting it onto the skin will make your skin appear more flawless. Although rubbing is easier, you will end up brushing too much concealer away which will reveal the redness behind. If you are looking to fight acne, choose a concealer that contains medication to treat the skin condition.

Do not use too much make up

Teens look beautiful with or without make up. But when you use make up, you are at a risk of overdoing it that can make you look like an older person. Keep it simple by applying tinted moisturizer, little bit of eye shadow and nude or light pink lip gloss. Stay away from bold colors such as reds and dark pink.

Don’t overdo your lips if you do your eyes

Teen girls who wear heavy eye make up and dark lipsticks look clownish. If you don’t want to fall in the same category, don’t overdo your lips if you do your eyes and vice versa. If you like to apply heavy mascara or eyeliner, do not go for dark lipsticks. Also don’t apply any blush. However, if you want to apply dark lipstick, then don’t apply heavy eye makeup and dark eye shadow.

Don’t wear make up daily

If you are a teenager and wear your foundation, blush, mascara, powder, eye shadow, liner and gloss daily, then stop right there. At teenage, using mascara, concealer and a light gloss should be enough. Putting on too much make up everyday is a looks spoiler and it is also bad for your acne.

Pamper your skin

There are many natural ingredients available in your kitchen that can help you look fairer and have a healthy glowing skin. The best one is mixing an egg yolk with 2 teaspoon of lemon juice and 4 teaspoon of almond oil. Apply the mixture to your face, massage for about 5 minutes and leave on for at least 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water and pat dry. This will give you glowing and fairer complexion.

Get rid of acne naturally

Acne is one of the biggest problems of being a teenager. But, you don’t need to worry because you can use a simple homemade remedy to tackle this problem. To deal with acne at home, mash one onion and dip it in vinegar. Leave it overnight and then apply it on the affected areas. Do this daily and within 3-4 days, you will have smooth and acne free skin.
